WASHINGTON, D.C. – Drexel softball fell to Georgetown, 4–3, in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon at Nat's Academy. The Dragons move to 6–6 on the season.

How It Happened

Drexel struck first in the opening inning. Kylah Reading doubled to lead off the game, stole third, and scored on a Kalea Calugay RBI double to give the Dragons a 1–0 lead.

Georgetown evened the score in the third with a two-run double to move ahead 2–1. Drexel responded in the top half of the inning. Mckenna Rowlands singled and later scored on a Kelsie Peters RBI double to tie the game at 2–2.

The score remained tied through the middle innings as Courtney Kols worked efficiently in the circle and kept the Hoyas off the board.

Drexel regained the lead in the top of the 10th. Kelsie Peters doubled to open the inning and came around to score on an RBI double from Annabelle Smink to give the Dragons a 3–2 advantage.

Georgetown answered in the bottom half. A single and a groundout moved the tying run into scoring position before an RBI single evened the score at 3–3. The Hoyas followed with another RBI single to secure the walk-off victory, 4–3.

By the Numbers

Kelsie Peters went 2-for-5 with a double and drove in four runs.

Kylah Reading finished 2-for-6 with a double, a stolen base, and a run scored.

Annabelle Smink recorded two hits, including the go-ahead RBI double in the 10th.

Drexel totaled 12 hits in the contest.

Courtney Kols pitched 9.2 innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts.
