Dragons Drop Series Finale at Towson, 12-3

TOWSON, Md. – Drexel softball dropped the final game of the CAA series to Towson, 12–3, in six innings on Sunday afternoon. The Dragons moved to 11–9 on the season.
How It Happened
Towson took an early lead in the opening inning and added another run in the second.
Drexel responded in the top of the third with three runs. Kylah Reading reached and later scored on a play that included an error following a Natalie Alldred single. Later in the inning, Kelsie Peters connected on a two-run home run to left center to give the Dragons a 3–2 lead.
The Tigers answered in the bottom of the third to tie the game and pulled away with a five-run fifth inning.
Towson added three more runs in the sixth to end the game by run rule.
By the Numbers
Kelsie Peters finished 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Kylah Reading went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk.
Ariana Castillo added a hit for the Dragons.
Drexel recorded six hits in the game.

Drexel returns home on Wednesday, March 18 to host Colgate for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m., with the second game scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Drexel Softball Field.
