Dragons Fall in Series Opener at Hofstra

How It Happened
Hofstra took control in the bottom of the first inning, scoring five runs. A groundout brought in the first run before a two-run home run extended the lead. Later in the inning, a double to center field drove in two more runs to make it 5-0.
Hofstra added seven runs in the second inning. A two-run home run opened the frame, followed by a run scoring on a wild pitch. A single through the left side brought in two runs, and another single to center field added two more to extend the lead to 12-0.
Hofstra added a run in the third inning on a single to left field to make it 13-0.
In the fourth inning, a solo home run pushed the lead to 14-0. A sacrifice fly added another run, and a run scored on a wild pitch later in the inning to make it 16-0.
