How It Happened
Saint Joseph's opened the scoring in the top of the third inning with a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead.
In the fourth inning, Saint Joseph's added a run when a batter reached on a fielding error, allowing a run to score and extend the lead to 2-0.
Saint Joseph's added another run in the fifth inning on an error to make it 3-0.
In the sixth inning, Saint Joseph's broke the game open with six runs. A double to left center drove in a run before another double to center field added another. A single to right field brought in two runs, followed by a run scoring on a wild pitch. A single to center field later in the inning added the final run.
Drexel got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning when Kylah Reading homered to left field for the Dragons' lone run.
By the Numbers
Kylah Reading went 3-for-3 with a home run and an RBI.
Courtney Kols pitched 4.2 innings with three strikeouts.
Madison Taylor added 0.2 innings in relief.
