A good face-off man who is expected to be a key contributor in 2009…part of Drexel three-man unit that was among the nation’s best two years ago.
2009: Had his best game of the season against Albany…won 12 of 21 face-offs and had a career-high eight ground balls….won six face-offs at Hofstra…picked up three or more ground balls five times…won 48 of his 103 face-off attempts and finished with 27 ground balls, fifth on the team.
2008: A key component of Drexel’s face-off unit, which finished the season ranked fifth in the nation…won 55 of his 101 draws (.545)…was a perfect 6-for-6 against Lehigh…picked up five ground balls and his only goal against Sacred Heart…had two assists.
2007: Played in nine games and was 34-for-47 (.723) on face-offs…part of a squad that finished 11th in the nation in face-off percentage…was 11-for-15 on draws at Robert Morris…opened the season by winning 10 of his first 11 face-offs, including all four vs. Notre Dame, over a four-game stretch…scored his only goal of the season at VMI…had 12 ground balls, including five at Robert Morris.
Background: Starred at Penncrest High School…named All-Delco, All-Central, All-State and All-America…played hockey for the state championship team at Penncrest.
