A two-time captain who is an All-American candidate…will be counted on for offensive production again in 2010…enters his senior year ranked 12th all-time at Drexel in assists and is tied for 20th in career points.
2009: A First-Team All-CAA selection…finished fourth in the CAA in assists, fifth in scoring and 10th in goals…led the team in all three categories…named CAA Player of the Week after scoring twice and handing out two assists in win vs. Delaware…had three or more points six times and had two hat tricks.
2008: Named Second Team All-CAA after scoring 21 goals and recording 21 assists…finished fifth in the league in assists and ninth in points per game… was named CAA Player of the Week on Mar. 17 after a four-goal, five-assist performances vs. Saint Joseph’s… had three goals in the CAA semis against Villanova…had six multiple goals games and seven games with three points or more…was the recipient of the CAA Men’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete Award.
2007: Named the CAA Rookie of the Year…finished tied for fourth in the CAA in points per game (2.5) and was seventh in goals per contest (1.57)…also finished eighth in the league in assists…scored two goals in the final 10 seconds to give Drexel an 11-10 win at top-ranked Virginia…named the team's Most Improved Player…netted three goals on three occasions…had a season-high five points at Sacred Heart…finished the year with 22 goals and 13 assists.
2006: Redshirted.
Background: Attended Abington High School…a Second Team All-State pick in 2005…named Suburban League Most Valuable Player in 2005…was also a First Team Northeast League pick in both 2003 and 2004.
Personal: Son of Bob and Maureen Ambler…his father Bob is Drexel's all-time leading scorer…majoring in business administration.
