2015: Appeared in 13 games and had 10 starting assignments…recorded his first career hat trick in the regular-season finale against Towson…handed out a pair of assists against Fairfield…finished the year with four goals and five assists for nine points…picked up 16 ground balls…a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award winner.
2014: Played in nine games as a junior…was a reserve on attack…made his only goal of the year a memorable one…took over for an injured Cole Shafer and scored a goal early in the third period at Franklin Field against Penn in the NCAA Tournament.
2013: Entered the starting line-up late in the season after playing sparingly early…became a key contributor and finished his first season with four goals and five assists…scored a pair of goals and had two assists in Drexel’s win at UMass…had a goal and an assist in each game against Towson…appeared in eight games and had six ground balls.
2012: Sat out the season as a redshirt…a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient.
Background: Attended South Carroll High School in Sykesville, Md…played attack and was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection…finished second in the conference in scoring as a junior and a senior…set South Carroll record with 11 points in one game (3-8-11)…finished his career second in school history in points…was the WTTR Player of the Week…played three seasons of soccer before moving to football in the fall…was the kicker as a senior and was named Second Team All-Conference.
Personal: Son of Timothy Frederick and Darlene Sopko…youngest of six children…majoring in architectural engineering.
