Started on defense in each of the last two seasons.
2013: Played in every game for the third straight season…finished second on the team with 15 caused turnovers…forced two turnovers in five different games (Dragons were 5-0 in those games)…picked up 19 ground balls and had six games with more than one ground ball… a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient.
2012: Started all 16 games on defense last season on a team that finished 12th in the nation in scoring defense…grabbed 28 ground balls…had three ground balls in a game on three occasions…caused 19 turnovers, which led the team…a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award recipient.
2011: Had a solid first season as a long stick midfielder…named to the CAA’s All-Rookie Team…appeared in all 14 games and had 12 starting assignments…scooped up 24 ground b alls…had four ground balls against Virginia…caused 13 turnovers and had three games with two…picked up his first career assist at St. John’s.
Background: Attended Hereford High School in Parkton, Md…played three seasons of varsity lacrosse as a long stick middie and a defenseman…was a two-time All-American and was twice named First Team All-County…a member of three state championship teams…was the 2010 Kelly Award winner…member of the National Honor Society…an honor roll selection every semester at Hereford...also played on the golf team.
Personal: Son of Henry Dusek and Stacey Nickerson-Dusek…one of two children…plans on majoring in accounting.
