2006: Played in seven games in his first season…picked up a ground ball in each of the team's final two games.
Background: Played at Springfield High School, where he was a member of the 2005 Central League Championship team…a First Team News of Delaware County selection…also played soccer at Springfield.
Personal: Son of Rebecca and James Avato…his brother, Greg, graduated from Drexel last year and was a four-year lacrosse letterwinner…majoring in business.
