A veteran face-off man…should again be part of the face-off unit that is looking to get back to its 2008 form…a tough competitor who appeared in every game as a junior...enters his senior year with 200 career face-off wins.
2009: Won 32 of his 66 face-off attempts as a junior…snared 18 ground balls…won six of his eight face-offs against Saint Joseph’s and had a season-high four ground balls…was also 50 percent or better on draws in nine of 15 games.
2008: A key part of Drexel’s face-off unit, which finished the season ranked fifth in the nation…led the CAA with a .613 face-off percentage (76-for-124)…had a season-high 10 face-off wins against Lehigh…was 6-for-8 vs. Virginia…picked up a pair of assists at Delaware and had three on the season…grabbed 34 ground balls, including nine against Lafayette.
2007: Named to the CAA All-Rookie Team as a face-off specialist…finished third in the CAA and ninth nationally in face-off percentage…won 92 draws in 151 attempts…had a big day at Virginia, winning nine of 11 face-offs and grabbing six ground balls…led the team with 54 ground balls, including eight vs. Lafayette.
Background: Four-year letterwinner at Cherokee High School…named First Team All-Conference once and was twice named Second Team All-Conference…served as team captain as a senior.
