2013: Named to the Philadelphia Soccer Six All-Rookie Team…appeared in 16 games, making his first collegiate start at Princeton (10/8)…had three assists on the season, all in wins…helped on the eventual game-winner at Lehigh (9/12)…also had assists against Rutgers (9/24) and at College of Charleston (11/6)…took four shots on the year, but did not score a goal.
Background: Played two years of soccer at Mayfair High School...won his league's Rookie of the Year award in 2009...followed that up with an all-league selection in 2010...played only club soccer as a junior and senior, performing for Chivas USA Academy...helped them to a third-place finish at the Generation Adidas Cup in 2011 and a Finals Week appearance at the 2012 USSDA...helped Chivas USA earn a No. 8 national ranking last season.
Personal: Son of Veronica and Francisco Arana...intends to major in engineering.
