2013: Third Team All-CAA…made appearances in all 21 games for the Dragons, starting 19…scored the game’s first goal in Drexel’s 2-1 win at Delaware (10/19)…added three assists, including helpers in both games of the CAA Tournament…also scored during the shootout, leading to the Dragons’ advancement over Delaware in the CAA semifinals (11/14)…his assist in the championship game against William & Mary (11/16) led to Jameson Detweiler’s game-winner, the only score of the 1-0 Drexel win…also had an assist on the game-winner in the Delaware victory on Oct. 19.
2012: A CAA Commissioner’s Award recipient…appeared in all 19 games, making 17 starts…notched two goals in the Dragons’ 4-1 win over No. 11 Old Dominion (9/22), earning himself CAA Player of the Week two days later…also named the Philadelphia Soccer Six Player of the Week for that effort, and earned a spot on the CollegeSoccerNews.com National Team of the Week…scored his first goal of the season in a 3-3 draw at Denver (8/31)…had two assists, including one in the 2-1 win at Air Force (9/2) and one in the 2-0 win over UNCW (10/6).
2011: Made 13 starts in 15 games played as a freshman…scored the Dragons’ first goal in their eventual 2-1 double overtime victory against Delaware on Oct. 12 for his first collegiate tally…finished the season with 13 shots, seven of which went on net…his .538 shot-on-goal percentage was the highest on the team among players with at least 10 shots...recipient of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.
Background: Attended Lycee International de Saint Germain-en-laye in France…played for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) club team and won league championship from 2002-08 and the Coupe de Paris in 2008.
Personal: Son of Vittorio Pataia and Simonetta la Monaca….majoring in Biology.
