2013: Philadelphia Soccer Six Academic Player of the Year…a Third Team All-CAA performer…a member of the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area squad…appeared in 20 games for the Dragons, starting all 20…had three assists, including two against Penn (10/2)…that set a new career high for assists in a game, and matched a career high for points in a game…scored during the shootout against Delaware in the CAA semifinals, helping lead to the Dragons’ advancement (11/14)…his three total assists and points set a new season career best…attempted five shots on the season…one of the anchors to the Drexel defense which registered six shutouts on the season.
2012: A CAA Commissioner’s Award recipient…PhillySIDA Academic All-Area performer…started all 19 games for the Dragons…scored one goal, a game-winner from 40 yards out at Hofstra (10/24)…the goal came in the 83rd minute on his only shot of the season…helped hold opposing offenses to just 0.95 goals per game for the year.
2011: Made 16 starts in 17 appearances, both tops amongst freshmen…finished the season with an assist and six shots...recipient of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.
Background: A four-year varsity letterwinner at Cardinal Gibbons High School…helped the team to the conference championship all four seasons…won the North Carolina 2A State Championship in 2008 and 3A State Championship in 2010…recognized as an all-region performer in 2009 and All-State honoree in 2010…played with the 92 CASL Elite club team from 2002-08 and the CASL Chelsea FC Academy from 2008-11.
Personal: Son of Carla and David Liberatore…brother, Louis, was a goal keeper on the Belmont Abbey soccer team…majoring in engineering.
