2005: Served as Drexel’s top reliever and a spot starter…posted a 2.35 earned-run average which was second in the bullpen…hit a walk-off two-run homer against George Mason that invoked the mercy rule in a 9-1 win, helping the Dragons take the series 2-1.
2004: Posted the bullpen’s second-best ERA and improved in every pitching category, allowing 14 fewer hits, 11 fewer earned runs while striking out three more batters in a strong sophomore season.
2003: Led the team in slugging (.379) and doubles (7)...second on the team in batting with a .253 average...tied for fourth on team with 24 hits...tied for second with seven RBI.
Background: Played four sports in high school...First-Team All-League pitcher and First-Team All-Area designated hitter...recipient of President’s Award and John Crowe’s Award...named scholar athlete.
Personal: A pre-med major...daughter of Sherrie and John Heyser.
