Background: A four-year varsity starter as a pitcher and outfielder for her Buchanan High School team…named League Player of the Year in the Tri River Conference as a sophomore…also earned Second Team All-League honors as a senior and Honorable Mention as a freshman…as a sophomore she was recognized as a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association First Team All-Region…named her team’s Rookie of the Year as a freshman and the Team MVP as a sophomore…also rode horses and participated in competitive barrel racing…an honor roll student.
Personal: Daughter of Scott and Janet January…an only child…her father played collegiate baseball at Cuesta Community College and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo…majoring in health science.
