Nick Herceg joined Drexel in May of 2021 and currently serves as the Assistant Director for Athletic Facilities while also working as an assistant coach for the women’s rowing team.
Herceg oversees upgrades to athletic facilities, including Cozen Court’s hardwood floor, Daktronics video boards, and the SprintTurf field at Vidas Athletic Complex. He coordinates with contractors and vendors for facility maintenance and equipment repairs. He also supervises a student operations co-op, offering hands-on experience in collegiate athletics. Previously, Herceg was Drexel’s Coordinator of Athletic Facilities and Operations until June 2023.
Prior to rejoining his alma mater, Herceg was Assistant Director of Operations at Heyday Athletic, preparing over 30 outdoor fields and 40 gyms in Greater Philadelphia for daily adult recreation. He promoted the brand by attending fitness exhibitions and gathering data.
Before his time with Heyday Athletic, Herceg was a Post Graduate Intramural Sports Intern with the Villanova University Recreation Department. While with the Wildcats, he assisted in training staff members and organizing weekly shifts. He also scheduled intramural games and leagues across multiple facilities and sports. Herceg also assisted the athletic department with events such as the NCAA Men’s College Cup.
Herceg graduated from Drexel with a degree in sports management and a minor in business administration.
