Caroline Fitzgerald began her coaching career at Drexel in the fall of 2017, and is in her first season as an Assistant Coach with the Dragons. She begins her coaching career on Hannah Wszalek's staff after completing a standout playing career at the University of Florida.
There, Fitzgerald was a three-time IWLCA All-American, just the fourth player in Gators program history to earn the distinction three times. The defender ended her career in Gainesville as the program’s all-time leader in ground balls with 152 and caused turnovers with 87.
She started all 82 games over the course of her four seasons from 2014-17, helping Florida to a 68-14 overall record during her time there. In each of her four seasons, the Gators captured their conference title en route to advancing to at least the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Fitzgerald, a First Team All-Region selection as well, will work primarily with the Dragons’ defenders.
Following her time at Florida, Fitzgerald played in the United Women's Lacrosse League for the Long Island Sound, capturirng the 2017 league crown.
