Bio
2011: Struggled with injuries during the season but managed to return to play in three matches…saw her most minutes in the game at Old Dominion…also played against UNC Wilmington and at William & Mary… a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award winner once again.
2010: Played in every match in the back for Coach Goon’s squad during her second season…one of four Dragons to start every match…named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team for her performance on the field and in the classroom…a recipient of the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.
2009: Played 16 games in her first year with the Dragons…expecting to challenge for a starting spot in 2010…had two assists, including one in her first collegiate game against La Salle…also assisted on Drexel’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with Old Dominion.
Background: Played soccer and was a member of the track and field team at Notre Dame…was an All-State performer and her team Most Valuable Player three times…a First Team All-Area selection…was a Group A pole vault state champion as a senior and a First Team All-Conference pick as a junior…won the physics award, the sports medicine award and the AP chemistry award…a National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society member...played club soccer for FC Bucks East, who won the US Youth Soccer 2009 Region I championship.
Personal: Daughter of Thomas and Rosemarie Mahon…has one sister, who is a runner at Villanova…her father was a pole vaulter at the College of New Jersey…majoring in biological sciences.
