Dragons Complete CAA Pod Meet

Harrisonburg, Va. – The Drexel women's swimming and diving team competed in the Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet hosted by James Madison as the Dragons dropped four dual decisions against conference foes. James Madison defeated Drexel, 278-69, Northeastern topped the Dragons, 270-77, Old Dominion beat Drexel, 262-83, and William & Mary won 275-70.
Kate Hynes continued her dominance in the CAA. The three-time conference champion on both boards won the 1-meter with a score of 310.25 and the 3-meter with a score of 328.45. Maria Coman took sixth overall in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.37. She notched second place finishes against Northeastern, Old Dominion and William & Mary and took third place in competition against James Madison.
Devina Tyagi took seventh at the meet in the 50 free with a time of 24.99. She earned first place against Old Dominion as she topped the Lady Monarchs' best time of 25.28 established by Casie Connolly. Kaitlin Slowey captured eighth place overall in the 200 fly with a time of 2:13.80. She finished behind just one Northeastern swimmer and two swimmers from each of the other schools.
The Dragons will return to action on Sunday, Nov. 9 when Drexel travels to Washington, D.C. to face George Washington at 11:00 a.m.
