Drexel Women's Swimming & Diving Falls to La Salle, 167-121

Philadelphia - Drexel women's swimming & diving dropped its home opener to La Salle, 167-121. Lauren Faykes had a big day for the Dragons with two first-place finishes. The loss moved the team's record to 1-2 on the season.
Faykes gave Drexel its initial first-place finish of the day as the freshman took the 200 fly with a time of 2:11.75 with sophomore Victoria Mayer placing third in the event. Maria Coman and Devina Tyagi finished one-two in the 200 back with times of 2:13.76 and 2.14.99, respectively. Faykes picked up her second victory of the day in the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.25 as she edged La Salle's Aubrey Cefalo by 0.40 seconds.
The Drexel diving duo of Megan Halicek and Elena Verdecchio took first and second place, respectively, in both the 1- and 3-meter events.
