Dragons Finish 13th at Towson Spring Invitational

Grasonville, Md. - The Drexel golf team battled tough competition at the Towson Spring Invitational to place 13th of the 17 schools participating. Senior Sean Semenetz highlighted his play with an even-par 72 in the second round of the three-round event. The Dragons finished six strokes ahead of Cornell and also topped host school, Towson, as well as Army and Siena.
Semenetz was the Dragons' top finisher as he carded an 11-over-par 227 for the tournament. He sandwiched his team-best single round score of 72 with a 78 and a 77. He finished in a tie for 30th individually. Trevor Sahn finished just one stroke behind after opening with a 74 and totals of 77 for each of the final two rounds. Andrew Lawson fired a 234 for the event while senior Mike Carr totaled 235. Frank Petrash carded a 251.
The Dragons return to action on April 4 at the two-day Lafayette Invitational in Center Valley, Pa.
