
Men's Lacrosse Aims For Fifth Straight Win on Saturday Against St. John's

Philadelphia - The 20th-ranked Drexel men's lacrosse team, fresh off an upset of No. 3 Notre Dame, aims for its fifth straight win on Saturday against St. John's. The Dragons (4-1) and Red Storm (2-1)meet at 1 p.m. at Vidas Field.
Drexel defeated Notre Dame on Tuesday at Vidas Field, 7-6, in overtime. Robert Church scored the game-winner with just 22 seconds left in the first overtime period. Drexel tied the game with 2:09 to play in regulation on a Kevin Stockel goal. Mark Manos made 17 saves as the Dragons defeatd a top-five opponent for the first time ever at home.
St. John's is 2-1 after dropping a 9-6 decision to No. 14 Georgetown on Saturday. Harry Kutner and Garrett Mitchell each had two goals for St. John's. Gavin Buckley had 12 saves in a losing effort.
The Dragons defense is allowing less than seven goals per game through five games. Manos has a .659 save percentage. Offensively, Scott Perri has a team-high 10 goals. Stockel has nine goals, including seven in the last two games. Perri and Colin Ambler are tied for the team lead with seven assists.
