Women's Soccer Match Versus Hofstra Moved to 3:00 Thursday Afternoon

The Drexel women's soccer team returns home to Vidas field this afternoon in its first CAA home match of the season. The Dragons face Hofstra at 3 p.m.
Drexel (4-6, 0-2) returns home after four-straight road contests. The Dragons split matches in the Blue Hen Classic and opened CAA play at both Georgia State and UNC Wilmington. In Drexel's last match, the Dragons fell to UNC Wilmington, 1-0, in double overtime. Freshman goalie Victoria Troccoli made eight saves in net for Drexel before a Seahawk free-kick from 30 yards out found its way through traffic and into the back of the net with just 1:20 to play.
Senior forward Jenna Lindsay leads the Dragons with six points, including a pair of goals. Troccoli has recorded a team high 33 saves with a .786 save percentage.
Hofstra (8-1, 2-0) picked up its eighth-straight win with a victory against VCU. The Pride had goals from freshmen Krysti Rodriguez and Ruby Staplehurst. Senior Salma Tarik leads the team with five goals and 11 points.
In the two teams' last meeting last season, Hofstra held Drexel without a goal, breaking the Dragons' eight game scoring streak, as it tallied a 4-0 victory at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Hofstra leads the all-time series 13-1.
Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
