Women’s Lacrosse Faces La Salle on Sunday

Philadelphia - Drexel women's lacrosse hosts city-rival La Salle in its third straight home contest on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Vidas Field. Drexel enters the weekend 4-1 after defeating Binghamton, 10-4.
Drexel leads the all-time series 9-2. Last season, Drexel scored seven straight goals in the 11-7 victory over La Salle. The Dragons fired 26 shots to the Explorers' 21, while Drexel won 12 of the game's 21 draws. Goalkeeper Whitney Johnson recorded the win and tallied nine saves.
La Salle dropped to 4-3 on the season after a 13-8 loss against Monmouth on Wednesday. Sophomore midfielder Melanie Sarcinello leads the Explorers with 19 goals, while teammate Taylor Ruland leads the team with nine assists.
