Women’s Lacrosse Hosts Johns Hopkins on Wednesday

Philadelphia - Drexel women's lacrosse faces Johns Hopkins in the finale of their six-game homestand on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Vidas Field. Drexel enters the weekend 6-2 after defeating Saint Mary's College, 14-4, on Sunday. The Dragons are now 4-1 at home.
Drexel's Charlotte Wood leads the team with 26 goals followed by teammate Alyse Maiden with 20. Maiden recorded a new career high with four goals in the win over the Gaels on Sunday. Junior Jaclyn Klunder leads the Dragons with 12 assists.
Johns Hopkins leads the all-time series 2-0. In their last meeting, the Blue Jays snapped the Dragons' four-game winning streak at Johns Hopkins as Drexel trailed by just two goals at halftime. Johns Hopkins put the game out of reach early in the second with three goals in the first eight minutes of the period. Johns Hopkins went on to score nine in the frame to register the 12-1 victory over Drexel.
The Blue Jays improved to 6-3 overall record after an 11-10 win over George Washington last Saturday. Johns Hopkins also defeated No. 4 Penn, 8-5. Junior Colleen McCaffrey leads Johns Hopkins with 23 goals.
