Drexel Women’s Lacrosse Faces Old Dominion on Friday Night

Philadelphia - The Drexel women's lacrosse team travels to Old Dominion for the third Colonial Athletic Association game of the season on Friday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. Drexel enters the weekend 8-3 after defeating Delaware, 11-8, last Sunday at Vidas Field. The Dragons are 2-0 in conference play.
Drexel leads the all-time series 5-4. Last season, Drexel's Katie Lawson recorded six goals in the 17-10 win over Old Dominion in their Colonial Athletic Association season opener. Whitney Johnson earned the win in the cage for Drexel as she made two saves in the first half before giving way to Rachael Behrndt in the second half who made six stops. Drexel outshot Old Dominion, 36-25, and earned one more draw control than the visitors by collecting 15 on the day.
The Lady Monarchs improved to 2-8 overall record after a 10-9 win against George Mason last Sunday. Old Dominion also defeated Saint Joseph's, 11-10, this season. Junior attacker Lisa Bernardini leads the team with 24 goals and 11 assists.
