Women’s Lacrosse Hosts George Mason on Senior Day Sunday

Philadelphia - Drexel women's lacrosse hosts George Mason on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Vidas Field. Prior to the game, Amanda Gregg, Allegra Gerhardt, Katie Blazer, Sarah Bauer and Whitney Johnson will be honored on Senior Day. The Dragons enter the weekend with an 8-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play after falling to No. 12 James Madison, 9-8, on Friday afternoon.
George Mason leads the all-time series 7-2. In their last meeting, Drexel women's lacrosse used tough defense and hat tricks from Becca Drylie-Perkins and Alyse Maiden to defeat George Mason, 10-5. The Dragons outshot the Patriots, 28-24, and won 10 of the game's 16 draws. Goalkeeper Whitney Johnson recorded 11 saves for Drexel.
George Mason dropped to 3-13 on the season after a 16-7 loss against Hofstra on Friday night. The Patriots defeated George Washington, Columbia, and American this season. Junior midfielder Emily Ellisen leads the team with 32 goals.
