PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel softball team fell to Hofstra, 11-0 in five innings in the first game of the weekend series on Saturday. The Pride jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Tara Konopka held them scoreless in both the second and third. In the top of the fourth, the Dragons picked up two outs early in the inning, but then allowed nine runs to extend Hofstra's lead.
Drexel and Hofstra return to action on Sunday, when they will play a doubleheader beginning at 11:00 a.m.
