Crawford Places Second as Drexel Finishes Eighth at Patriot Invitational

Chris Crawford shot a 69 in each of his last two rounds to finish at three-under par 210 and finished tied for second place overall at the Patriot Intercollegiate Tournament at the Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Va. As a team, the Dragons shot 292 for the second straight day and finished with an 881 overall. They finished under 300 in each of the three rounds on the par 71, 7,010 yard course and were eighth overall.
Crawford had four birdies in the final round. The only blemish on his scorecard was a double bogey on 17. He has now shot 72 or better in six of his eight rounds this fall. Yoseph Dance finished the tournament at 215. The sophomore had a one-over par 72 in the final round. Freshman Avery Schneider also had a 72 on Monday.
Ryan Zech of Missouri was the medialist, finishing just one stroke ahead of Crawford. Clark Robison of Marshall was also at three under. Missouri was the overall team winner as the Tigers shot a combined one-under-par, three shots better than Marshall.
The Dragons are off for a few weeks before participating in the Temple Invitational on October 11.
