TOWSON, Md. - The Drexel women's lacrosse team fell at Towson on Friday evening, 15-6. Nadia Pelham-Lacey scored three goals for the Dragons, while Caroline Thiele added her first two goals of the season. The Dragons remain winless in Colonial Athletic Association play, falling to 0-3 in league play.
Towson scored the first four goals of the game, not allowing the Dragons to score until Pelham-Lacey netted her first of the evening with 15:41 to play in the first half. The Tigers would add three more before the end of the stanza to go into the break up 7-1.
The Tigers led by as many as 11 in the second half after scoring six of the first seven goals after halftime. Andi Raymond, who scored a game-high four goals for Towson, netted one of her four on the night during that span. Lacey Aghazarian scored Drexel's lone goal during that time.
With Towson up 13-2, Caroline Thiele ripped home her first goal of the season with 12:51 to play. That started a 4-1 Drexel rally, including two goals from Thiele and two from Pelham-Lacey. It would prove to be too little, too late, though, as Towson pulled away to the victory.
The Dragons will get back in action on Sunday afternoon as they host Delaware at 1:00 p.m. The game will be the final contest at Vidas Field this season for the Dragons, who will honor seven graduating student-athletes at Senior Day prior to the game. That is scheduled to get underway at 12:40 p.m.
