FINAL RESULTS
SEATTLE - The Drexel golf team concluded a solid weekend by finishing sixth at the Redhawk Invitational hosted by Seattle University at Chambers Bay, the home of the 2015 United States Open Championship.
The Dragons had strong performances across the board at the 18-team tournament. On the most difficult course the Dragons will probably see all year, Drexel competed with some of the top teams in the nation. Junior Christopher Crawford tied for eighth overall, shooting a 218. He was six shots out of first place. Crawford shot one-over-par in each of the first two rounds and finished the final round at 76. Four of the players ahead of him played for Washington, a school that was ranked 10th in the nation entering the tournament. Sophomore Yoseph Dance tied for 15th overall after carding a 223 (74-73-76). Avery Schneider scored better each day and ended the tournament at 232, while Adam Mistretta was just one shot behind Schneider.
Washington was the overall winner at 854, which was 14 shots over par. Seattle was 24 shots behind the Huskies. TCU, Seton Hall and Missouri-Kansas City also finished ahead of Drexel. The Dragons finished ahead of 12 teams, including Cal-State Fullerton, Boise State, Rutgers and William & Mary.
