Softball Preps for Maryland Invitational this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel softball returns to action this weekend for the Maryland Invitational on Friday, March 15-17. The Dragons will compete against Bryant, Rhode Island and Saint Peters.

Drexel will open the tournament on March 15 with a 10 a.m. game against Bryant followed by a 12:30 p.m. game against Rhode Island. The Dragons will face Bryant again the following day at 10 a.m. and close out the tournament Sunday, March 17 with a 12:30 p.m. game against Saint Peter's.

Last Time Out
The Dragons went 2-3 at the Hampton Blue and White Classic with wins against Norfolk State and South Carolina State. Drexel's final win was a 9-1 victory against South Carolina State where Kristi DiMeo hit two doubles and a home run for six total RBI's. Linda Rush also added a home run while going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.
