NORKFOLK, VA. – Drexel softball was edged by Albany, 2-0, in game two of the Hampton Blue and White Classic on Friday afternoon at the NSU Softball Field.
After a scoreless first inning, Albany got on the board with an RBI single to center field off the bat off Mariah Miramontez. The Great Dane's then added an insurance mark in the sixth inning with a single to right field for the 2-0 victory.
Devon Grippe suffered the loss in the circle, allowing two run and five hits in six innings of work.
Drexel will return to action tomorrow with games against Albany and Hampton.
