The nation's oldest college wrestling tournament returns to the Finger Lakes for the first time since 2003.
The EIWA welcomes back its full roster of teams to Cornell University for a return to two-day championship tournaments, the conference norm since 1910. Action begins on Saturday, March 5th, at 11:00 am.

Parker Kropman is the only wrestler entered in the 2022 tournament who wrestled in the 2017 tournament (with Binghamton). He's also one of three wrestlers who will be participating in their fifth tournaments.

EIWA NOTES
- A total of 42 bids to the NCAA tournament will be awarded by placement at the EIWA championship (two fewer than in 2020).
- Only the Big Ten (88) and the Big 12 (58) will have more qualifiers than the EIWA.
- The top seven at 165 pounds will automatically qualify for NCAAs.
- To earn a spot at NCAAs at 157 or 197, a wrestler will have to finish fifth or higher.
- The top four spots at 125, 141, 149, 174 and 285 pounds will automatically qualify.
- Only the top three at 184 pounds will advance through the qualification process, with just the finalists clinching bids at 133.
A LOOK BACK
- Drexel finished fifth overall as a team at the 2021 EIWA Championships with 89.5 points.
- The Dragons had six wrestlers earned automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament while all 10 wrestlers placed.
- The six NCAA qualifiers was the most Drexel has sent to the tournament since the 2002 season.
- Mickey O'Malley led the way for the Dragons with a second-place finish at 174lbs. He was joined in the top five by Luke Nichter (3rd at 149), Julian Flores (4th at 141lbs), Bryan McLaughlin (4th at 197lbs), Evan Barczak (4th at 165lbs), and Parker Kropman (5th at 157lbs).
- The Dragons haven't had an EIWA Champion since the 2016 season when Matthew Cimato clinched a victory at 149lbs.
- O'Malley has the opportunity to break two records at the tournament including single season falls and career falls.
