Drexel Defeats Villanova on Senior Day, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA - Four Dragons scored as Drexel defeated Villanova on Senior Day, Sunday afternoon at Buckley Field, 4-1. DU heads into the final weekend of the regular season at 12-5 which matches its win total from last fall. Prior to the contest, the Dragons honored seniors, Eline Di Leva and Megan Hadfield.

The Dragons travel to Northeastern on Friday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. on Flo Live ($). On Sunday, October 29, they head to Connecticut to play Quinnipiac for the regular season finale at Noon.

- Hadfield earned six saves in the cage.
- Tina Rawa scored her first goal this fall.
- Drexel's defense held the Wildcats scoreless for 34:36.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the second minute, Eline Di Leva sent a pass from the right side of the circle to Natali Foster who was able to sneak a shot past the VU goalkeeper for the first score of the game.
- Soon after, on a penalty corner opportunity, Foster sent a ball out to Pien Elsen who fired a shot towards the cage and found Rawa who was able to redirect it to add to DU's lead.
- Following a Villanova goal, with 30 seconds left in the third quarter, DU earned its fifth penalty corner. Elsen scored her fourth goal of the season with assists by Rawa and Foster.
- In the 55th minute, the Wildcats pulled their goalkeeper and Val Van Hellemont was able to score on the empty net with a helper by Di Leva.
