PHILADELPHIA - Bridget Finley scored eight goals and Corinne Bednarik earned a hat trick in an 18-4 victory over LIU on Wednesday evening. Lindsey Dean, Alex Wall, and Saundra Godshall each found the back of the net twice and Anna Maria Gragnani fired a shot past the Sharks goalie to close out the game. Drexel's record improves to 3-2 overall with two games to go until CAA play starts.

BY THE NUMBERS

Finley tied the Drexel single-game record with ten points on eight goals and two assists. The attacker was one score away from equaling the Drexel single-game goal record.
Jenika Cuocco earned seven saves on 14 shots, she leads the CAA in save percentage and saves per game.
DU's defense forced ten caused turnovers.
Maura Cissel battled for 11 draw controls and two caused turnovers in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Finley (3) and Bednarik (2) tallied to give DU a 5-2 advantage at the conclusion of the first quarter. LIU scored two unanswered goals to close out the timeframe.
The Sharks opened the second quarter with a goal but Drexel answered back with four shots past the LIU goalie to extend its lead to five at the midway point.
DU's defense held the Sharks scoreless with only three shots in the second half of the game and the offense added nine goals to close out the contest.

Drexel continues its homestand against No. 19 Johns Hopkins on Youth Day on Saturday, March 4. The opening draw is scheduled for 11 a.m. and following the game, players will be signing autographs and taking pictures for all youth in attendance.
