PHILADELPHIA- Drexel will look for its third straight win when Hampton makes its first visit to the Vidas Athletics Complex on Saturday. The Pirates are one of three new additions to Colonial Athletic Association lacrosse. Saturday's game is presented by UA Steamfitters Local 420.
About the Dragons
Drexel is now 4-3 and 1-0 in CAA play after defeating Towson in overtime, 12-11. The Dragons jumped out to a six-goal lead, but the Tigers chipped away and then scored three goals in the final minute to force overtime. Jack Mulcahy gave the Dragons the win less than a minute into overtime with a backhanded flip after picking up a loose ball in front of the cage. Ross Blumenthal turned aside 15 shots in the win and was named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
Sean Donnelly leads the Dragons with 18 goals and 25 points. Mulcahy has nine goals and 10 assists, while Luke Tomak had 12 goals and 18 points. Tomak has five of his goals in man-up situations.
About Hampton
The Pirates come to Philadelphia with a 2-6 record. Hampton fell in its first-ever CAA game last week against Stony Brook, 19-3. The Pirates also lost on Tuesday to Ivy League-foe Dartmouth. Ellison Burt-Murray had two goals and two assists in the 18-9 loss. A.J. Knox added a hat trick. Paxtin Powell played all 60 minutes in the cage and made 14 stops.

Today is the first meeting between the two schools.

The Dragons return to action next Saturday at Fairfield in a CAA contest. Face-off is set for noon in a game that can be seen on LacrosseTV.
