Dragons and Stony Brook Battle for First Place in CAA on Saturday at Vidas

PHILADELPHIA- A share of first place in the Colonial Athletic Association will be on the line Saturday when Stony Brook visits Vidas Field for the first time. Drexel and Stony Brook will face off at 2 p.m. Both teams are 3-0 in league play and are tied with Delaware for the top spot in the CAA. The winner of the CAA regular season will host the CAA Championships which begin in early May. Today's game is brought to you by The Study. It will also be alumni day at Vidas Field.
About the Dragons
Drexel has rattled off four straight wins and is now 6-3 overall this season. The Dragons have league wins against Towson, Hampton and Fairfield. On Saturday, the Dragons went to Fairfield and came away with a 15-11 win. Luke Tomak had four goals and an assist to lead the team, while Max Semple and Sean Donnelly each had a hat trick. Justin Joseph won 19 face-offs and Ross Blumenthal made 15 saves in the win. Conor Hooley added four points and was named the CAA Rookie of the Week.
About Stony Brook
The Seawolves have also won four straight and are 6-4 this season. Their CAA wins came against Hampton, Monmouth and Towson. Dylan Pallonetti is one of the top offensive players in the CAA. He has already scored 35 goals and has 49 points. Noah Armitage and Matt Anderson each have 18 goals for the Seawolves. Stony Brook is second in the league in goals scored with 13.5 goals per game and second in man-up percentage at .433.
