WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Drexel women's soccer team (3-8-4) fell to William & Mary (8-8) in a CAA match-up Thursday night in Williamsburg, 2-0. Casey Touey made her return to the lineup after injury, recording three shots on goal.
The Tribe's first goal came in the closing minutes of the first half. In the 42nd minute, Peyton Costello booted the long ball to a racing Ivey Crain. Crain beat the Dragons defenders and tallied to get William & Mary on the board.
Crain found the back of the net once again in the 81st minute. Off the pass from Elaina Longjohn, Crain fired just inside the box with the right foot for the goal.
Joella Chase made the start for the Dragons at goalkeeper, recording four saves.
Drexel concludes their two-game road trip as the Dragons battle Hampton on Sunday, October 20. Action from Norfolk, Virginia will start at 3 p.m.
