Dragons Fall Short to NJIT, 2-1

NEWARK, N.J. – The Drexel men's soccer team fell to the NJIT Highlanders, 2-1 in Newark, N.J. on Tuesday night. A penalty kick by Dominick Bachstein in the 56th minute was the lone Drexel goal.
NJIT cashed in on a penalty kick in the 31st minute to take an early 1-0 lead. The Highlanders carried the lead into the second half.
The Dragons evened the score in the 56th minute by scoring a penalty kick themselves. Bachstein drew a foul inside the 18 and took the chance from the penalty strike. The graduate student scored his 10th goal of the season.
In the 64th minute of the match, NJIT capitalized on a miscue by the Dragons and tapped in an easy goal to score the game-winner.
Drexel travels to Newark, Del. to face the Delaware Blue Hens on Friday night. Action from Delaware is set for 7 p.m.
