Cuocco and Bednarik Earn Inside Lacrosse All-American Honors

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Jenika Cuocco and Corinne Bednarik have been named Inside Lacrosse All-American selections, as announced during halftime of Thursday's NCAA Women's Lacrosse quarterfinal game on ESPN+. Cuocco earned a Second Team nod while Bednarik received an honorable mention.
#2 Corinne Bednarik - Fifth Year Senior / A/M
Bednarik was named a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American and CAA Attacker of the Year for the second straight season, adding to her historic career as a Dragon. The attacker was also named IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team, receiving Second Team recognition last season. The fifth-year ended her career with 99 points this season, which set the Drexel all-time single-season record. She also holds the single-game assists (8) and points (11) record after dominant performances this season. The Glenmoore, Pa. native was the team leader with 41 assists and tallied a CAA third-best 58 times, scoring a hat trick in 15 games this season. The captain tied the all-time DU record of 292 points in the NCAA first round vs #18 Princeton.
#22 Jenika Cuocco - Redshirt Sophomore / G
Cuocco had an outstanding second year as Drexel's starting goalie. The redshirt sophomore garnered her second consecutive CAA Goalie of the Year after winning the CAA Rookie of the Year last season. The Sound Beach, N.Y. native leads the nation with 224 saves and a .569 save percentage. Cuocco is 2nd with 11.79 saves per game and 12th in allowing 9.05 goals per game. In just two years of play, the Tewaaraton Award Watch List athlete ranks eighth all-time with 400 saves and is fourth all-time in goals-against average at 8.99 at Drexel. In addition, she was named a Second Team USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American last week for the first time in her career, following an honorable mention in her rookie season. Cuocco also received IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team honors for the first time in her career yesterday afternoon.
