Brocious Collects a Pair of Goals as Drexel Takes Down Penn, 2-1

PHILADELPHIA - Liv Brocious tallied twice as Drexel women's soccer downed their University City rival Penn 2-1 Sunday night in Philadelphia.
The Dragons opened the game scoring their first goal in the 15th minute. Brocious received the cross from Casey Touey and hit a header into the bottom of the net for her first goal of the season, getting Drexel on the board 1-0.
The second goal for DU came in the 50th minute of the second half. Casey Touey's shot was blocked by the Quaker goalkeeper, but Brocious put the ricochet back for her second tally of the night.
Penn finally struck in the 71st minute. Mila Maltby fired a rocket beyond the penalty box in the upper right of the net, cutting into the Drexel lead 2-1. The Dragons held on to take their first win of the season.
Drexel returns to action Thursday night as they travel to Baltimore to take on UMBC. Action will kick off at 7 p.m.
