Men's Basketball to Start Three-Game Homestand Against Howard

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team will start its three-game homestand against the Howard Bison on Tuesday, December 16, at 11 a.m. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball.
A limited number of tickets remain for Tuesday's Kids Day game. Fans are encouraged to purchase in advance as walk-up tickets are not guaranteed.
ABOUT DREXEL
The Dragons are 4-6 after a close, 69-64, loss to the La Salle Explorers in the first game of the Toyota Big 5 Classic at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. Garfield Turner led the team with 12 points, also pulling down eight rebounds and stealing the ball twice. In the second half, the Dragons held the Explorers to 29.6% shooting from the field while shooting 44.1%. Drexel's defense shut down La Salle from three, holding them to 22.2% on the night.
ABOUT HOWARD
The Bison are 7-5 after their 61-57 win over the Hampton Pirates on Saturday. Kenneth Blakeney coaches them in his seventh season in D.C. and has guided Howard to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in 2022-23 and 2023-24. Graduate student Bryce Harris leads the team with 20.5 points per game.
THE SERIES
Drexel leads the all-time series 3-0. The two teams played in D.C. last season, with the Dragons winning 68-65.
