Women's Basketball to Host Vermont on Saturday at Noon

PHILADELPHIA - The Dragons are set to wrap up their non conference schedule on Saturday, December 20 against Vermont at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Tip is set for noon on NBC Sports Philadelphia and FloCollege.
NEW GAME TIME
The game time for Drexel women's basketball's game against Vermont on December 20 has been shifted from the originally scheduled 2 p.m. to 12 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Drexel women's basketball team defeated the Chestnut Hill Griffins, 95-38 on Tuesday afternoon in the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Iriona Gravley finished with a career-high of 23 points and shot a near-perfect 10-for-11 from the field.
Drexel set a program record on Tuesday, after defeating the Griffins by 57 points. That mark is the widest victory margin in program history, topping Drexel's 95-43 victory against Philadelphia Textiles on December 8, 1986.
It is the first time the Dragons scored more than 90 points since the Dragons scored 98 points against Northeastern on January 28, 2010. It is just the fourth time that the Dragons have scored more than 90 points in regulation in program history. The last time Drexel scored north of 90 points in regulation was on January 23, 2004, against William & Mary.
It is the first time that Drexel corralled more than 50 rebounds since the team grabbed 51 rebounds against Rider on December 29, 2003.
The team finished with 30 assists, two shy of the program's record. It is the highest assist total since the team finished with 28 against Charleston on March 12, 2022.
In addition to Gravley's 23 points, the sophomore finished with six rebounds.
Amaris Baker finished the game with a game-high 26 points with four rebounds. It is the seventh 20-point game for Baker, who finished with 10 field goals for the third time this season.
Deja Evans continued her high-powered play against Chestnut Hill, scoring 13 points on 6-for-7 shooting. Evans also grabbed four rebounds.
ALL-TIME SERIES
The rivalry between Drexel and Vermont gets renewed for the 28th time on Saturday afternoon. While the two teams have only met three times since Drexel joined the CAA in 2001-02, the Dragons and Catamounts competed as rivals in the then called North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and also the America East. Drexel a 1-9 record inside the Daskalakis Athletic Center, but the two teams have not competed against each other in Philadelphia since January 14, 2001.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Dragons have wrapped their 2025 season and non conference season and can now turn their attention towards conference play. The team drew a bye on the first conference day and will host Campbell on January 4 at 2 p.m.
