Dragons Defeated by Gardner-Webb in Final Day of Runnin' Bulldog Classic, 8-0

BOILING SPRINGS, N.J. – The Drexel softball team was defeated by the Gardner Webb Bulldogs on Sunday morning, 8-0. It was the third and final day of the Runnin' Bulldog Classic.
Madison Taylor (0-3) started in the circle for Drexel and went three innings. Taylor struck four batters out. Sidney Toukonen entered the game in relief and pitched a third of an inning. Violet Marta finished the fourth inning out not allowing a hit.
Drexel recorded four hits against the Bulldogs. Lana Mooney, Zoey Krizan, Mia Garza and Kylah Reading all checked into the game with a hit.
The Dragons turn their attention towards the UNCW Tournament, starting on February 14. Drexel will face Princeton, UNC and George Mason as part of a five-game slate.
