PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel softball team was defeated in game two of the three-game series against the Delaware Blue Hens at the Drexel Softball Field on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hens outscored Drexel 14-0 over five innings.
Delaware scored 12 runs in the first three innings of play. In the fourth inning, Drexel escaped unscathed, getting out of the inning with runners on first and third. The Blue Hens scored twice more in the top of the fifth to push their lead to 14.
Kylah Reading finished the game going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles. Mia Garza went 1-for-1 with a double in the game, while Macie Bergmann went 1-for-2 with a double.
Drexel returns to the Diamond to finish the series against Delaware on Sunday at 3 p.m.
