STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The Drexel men's soccer team cruised to a 2-0 victory against Stony Brook on Long Island on Saturday afternoon. The Dragons improve to 2-1-1 in conference play.

Drexel scored its first goal in the 12^th minute of the game. Morgan Worsfold-Gregg played a ball into the penalty box to set up a play. However, the ball got through all the defenders and past the Stony Brook keeper to put Drexel ahead by one.

In the second half, Jack Shannon played a ball ahead to Ben Weller in the 55^th minute. Weller, in a footrace with the Stony Brook defense, won the race to the ball and was left alone with the Seawolves' keeper. Weller tapped the ball past the keeper, who came out off the line, and finished the play for his first goal of the season.

Drexel looked in mid-season form, allowing 10 shots and not allowing more than two shots on target.

The Dragons return home to Vidas Field on Tuesday, September 23 to face its second of three straight Long Island opponents. The LIU Sharks travel to University City to play Drexel at 5 p.m.
