PHILADELPHIA — A career-high eight points from Bea Buckley helped the Dragons snap their three-game skid, powering past Saint Joseph's Wednesday afternoon in Philadelphia, 17-11. Katherine Senich also turned in a career night, scoring a personal-best five points as the Dragons secured their eighth consecutive win over the Hawks.

The Dragons opened the contest on a 3–1 run. Drexel struck first as Teagan Quinn finished a feed from Buckley. The Hawks answered at the 5:32 mark, but DU held onto the lead for the remainder of the game as Katherine Senich capped off the quarter with a pair of goals.

The Hawks opened the second quarter strong, forcing a Drexel turnover and finding space downfield. Alexa Capozzoli capitalized on the fast-break opportunity. Both teams then traded goals, with Annie Madden and Ellie Wall each scoring their first of the game. Drexel extended its lead to three as Mary Claire Heubeck and Wall both found the back of the net in the final minute, giving the Dragons a 7-4 lead at halftime.

Drexel opened the second half on a 3–0 run, with Madden, Kate Quinn and Buckley each tallying a goal. Saint Joseph's ended the drought at the 7:25 mark, but DU responded with two more to take a 12–5 advantage. The Hawks added one with just eight seconds remaining to close the quarter.

The fourth quarter saw both teams trade back-and-forth goals. Buckley and Katherine Senich connected on consecutive scores to start the frame before the Hawks answered. Drexel then added two more, but Saint Joseph's closed the game on a 4-1 run. The late push wasn't enough, however, as the Dragons secured the 17-11 victory.
