GREENSBORO, N.C. – Drexel softball completed the series sweep of North Carolina A&T with a 6-3 win on Sunday, improving to 18-18 overall and 7-8 in CAA play.

How It Happened

Drexel took an early lead in the top of the first inning. Kylah Reading scored from second base on a Natalie Alldred single to left field, and Jackie Masone came home on a sacrifice fly by Devyn Demchak to make it 2-0.

The Dragons added another run in the second inning when Annabelle Smink scored on a Kylah Reading sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 3-0.

North Carolina A&T responded in the bottom of the third inning with a double to left field that brought in three runs to tie the game.

Drexel regained the lead in the fifth inning when Olivia Sciulli scored from second base on a Devyn Demchak single to center field to make it 4-3.

In the seventh inning, Drexel added insurance runs. Jackie Masone and Natalie Alldred scored on a Macie Bergmann double down the left field line to extend the lead to 6-3.

By the Numbers

Natalie Alldred went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Macie Bergmann recorded a double and two RBI.

Devyn Demchak drove in two runs.

Kylah Reading added an RBI.

Courtney Kols threw a complete game, allowing three runs over 7.0 innings with three strikeouts.

Courtney Kols pitched all three complete games in the series.
