How It Happened
UNCW opened the scoring in the third inning. A single to right center drove in a run before a batter reached on an error that brought in two more runs. Later in the inning, another run scored on an error to extend the lead to 4-0.
In the fourth inning, UNCW added two runs. A single to center field brought in a run, and another single to short added a second run to make it 6-0.
UNCW added its final run in the fifth inning on a double to right field to extend the lead to 7-0.
Drexel was unable to generate a scoring threat and did not score in the game.
